I guess things are going well for me these days... The loft has been approved, finally. 2 more days till school ends. And i've only got 2 papers, so i guess everything's fine now. Went to 'Dialogue in the dark' today... DID is a place were you get to experience a blind man's life for an hour. IT WAS AWESOME!!! It was total darkness, even if you open your eyes. You can't see shit man, really... And when i say you can't see shit, you really can't see shit. My friend Yong Hua was standing real close, like face to face distance, and it looks like there wasn't anyone there. There were 8 people in my group, and we had a guide called Serene, and she's blind. We kinda had to follow her voice and instructions. We learned to cross the road, ate in the dark, tried to figure out the brand and plate number of a car. Yea, they somehow managed to fit a damn car inside... The most meaningful part was when we ate and conversed with Serene. She's 35 this year, suffered from partial blindness when she was young. Lost her vision at 19 years of age. We asked her a few interesting questions... Us: People say the blind do have dreams...what kinda dreams you make? She: If you're partially blind, we dream of images we see, though it's blur...If you're born blind, we dream of things that we imagine. Us: Have you ever left Singapore? She: I've been to Hong Kong and Taiwan. (awesome yea?) Us: Most annoying thing you've come across? She: When i ask for help, but no one answers. Us: Happiest day of your life? She: When i got married...hahaha! (even though i couldn't see her face, i knew she was happy when she said that) She was a really nice person and all, she didn't feel embarrassed when she answered these questions..I really admire her courage. I mean, she even went on a holiday! Seriously, if i were blind now, i'll go insane... And people, when the blind crosses the road and stuff, please help them..Yes, i know there are stuff to help them, like the noise made from the traffic lights and all, but most of the time, they just gamble their life by crossing the road... Watched 3 shows consecutively this week. Street Dance, The Sorcerer's Apprentice, Tekken. 3 awesome shows, lost 22 awesome bucks. ): 10+6+6. Ok, street dance is about this street dance crew who got into the finals of the street dance battle. Like the any other shows, bad stuff happened to them. They had to look for a place to practice, and ended up having to train a bunch of ballet dancers...If you love dancing, it's the show for you. (: Sorcerer's Apprentice is one of the best shows in the magic genre of movies. It's about this loser, who was forced into being a sorcerer's apprentice. Then shit happens... Tekken is about a fighting competition. A guy named Jin, wanted to have his revenge, and so he joined 'Ironfist', a competition whereby he fights for glory and stuff, but soon became a fight to their deaths. Things to take note: 1. If you're really into Tekken, as in, the game,then the show won't be what you're expecting it to be. 2. Christie is HOT!!! like SIZZLING HOT!!! Watch the show, you'll understand. :D
